Night Vision

Alhers can provide a wide range of NVIS Green A conversion methods, from fully internal to various external solutions including NVIS floodlights, post lights, eybrow assemblies, and gooseneck utility lights. We have full capability to modify annunciators, caution/warning panel, and internally lighted (MIL-P-7788) panels.

NVIS White

Ahlers also offers a cost-effective NVIS "White" conversion

In cases where full mil-spec conformance is not required, such as some civilian law enforcement and air-ambulance conversions, Ahlers offers a cost-effective NVIS "White" conversion. Filtered bezels are applied over all existing lighted instruments. The NVIS radiance of the existing lighting is reduced to the point that nighttime NVIS goggle use is not degraded, yet daytime perception of dial range marking colors remains natural to the unaided eye. In most installations, no modification is required to either the existing instrumentation or to the aircraft wiring, facilitating the local FAA approval process.

Ahlers Aerospace night vision conversion of the UH-1 instrument panel is fully compliant to Green A per MIL-STD-3009. This conversion utilizes a combination of NVIS-compliant lighting bezels and internal modifications to existing lighting to provide a conversion that is well balanced across the panel.
